The Chicago Urban Race is an exciting day of teams experiencing the thrills of a Chicago version of the Amazing Race that is one part trivial pursuit and one part urban adventure--all to raise funds and awareness for an often overlooked yet important cause.

2014 Chicago Urban Race

  • Lucky Strike 322 E. Illinois Street Chicago, IL 60611

Join us in our second year of experiencing the excitement and thrills of a Chicago version of the Amazing Race that is one part trivial pursuit and one part urban adventure--all to raise funds and awareness for congenital heart defects (CHD) research.

In this urban scavenger hunt, teams of 2-4 individuals band together to use clues that lead them to various destinations throughout the city to perform a task or challenge while navigating the lively streets and neighborhoods of The Windy City on foot or via public transportation. Teams will each get a list of 10 challenges and each will be different and could be a puzzle, a physical task, or a scavenger hunt. The goal is to be the first team to complete at least 9 of the 10 tasks with the first three teams to do so receiving a prize (and bragging rights, of course!). Participants are allowed to bring and use items including cell phone/smartphone, laptop, tablets, GPS, etc. with the only stipulation that they can only walk, run or use public transportation during the race.

We are proud to bring you the Chicago Urban Race in its second year by partnering again with California-based CitySolve Urban Race. 100% of all proceeds from this event benefit the Illinois Chapter of The Children's Heart Foundation to fund the most promising CHD research.
